About Rods and Cones

Since 1996, Rods and Cones has provided top-quality, workflow systems and technical services for advertising and graphic agencies, photo studios, prepress services agencies, print providers, and in-house creative groups.

That’s a very long time to learn color, especially since accessible and affordable color management is not very old. Over the years, we have provided services and products to more than 600 clients all over the country, from the smallest one-person studio to great workflow innovators like Macy’s West and Tiffany.

Today, we are solutions providers. We evaluate a site, understand the problems and the goals, and develop a workflow that produces accurate colors from input to final proof. Digital proofing systems, sometimes a major nightmare when not properly thought out, are our principal area of expertise. We know inkjets printers and presses, and we know RIPs. We are certified trainers for EFI/BestColor, ColorBurst, GMG, Scanvec Amiable and Perfect Proof. Whether you are using a Mac or a PC, in a photo studio or a pressroom, we will install, test and support the right solution.
